Benefits of Innovative Approaches

The project has several benefits to reap from using innovative and new approaches. As a leader, I think introducing new techniques to the work process is a crucial part of managing a successful business. In the case of our project and organization, the idea of making a reading club to donate to charity is already rather unique, with the communal approach being another defining feature. In terms of operation, I think that the application of modern tactics can help us to gather more public support and monetary donations, as these would be the primary goal of the whole project. Without sufficient public support and engagement, it is impossible to organize a literature club, buy books, or donate any money to charity. With the use of innovative approaches, however, more people could become interested.

Engaging With Team Members

Team members and participants obviously have to be engaged in the process of selecting the most appropriate innovations for the work process. There is a need to find proper ways of engaging with them and create a common link that would allow people to come up with and share good ideas. I think that the organization should regularly hold gatherings where the current and future direction of the organization is discussed, in particular the ways in which it could be improved. In such discussions, every participant and employee of the organization will be part of the process, contributing to the common goal. As a method of communal engagement, these meetings could hold an informal atmosphere, taking place outside the normal company gathering places and using snacks and tea as a way to establish a more friendly environment.

Learning From the Mistakes of Innovation

As should be noted, not all of the possible innovations brought by the work process will have a positive impact on the future of the project. It is necessary to find the time to review and reflect on the methods that work, as well as those that don’t. For this purpose, it would be optimal to regularly re-evaluate the current developments occurring in the organization, as well as the positive and negative developments during the work process. Similarly, with encouraging innovation, I think that meetings could be used to evaluate the process of managing a project and the proper steps to ensure its smooth continuation. During the same meetings mentioned before, the leader can facilitate reflection upon the currently used practices, their effectiveness in the face of possible future challenges, and ways of improving them.

Steps to Create Forward Momentum and Change

I think that the primary way of pushing forward momentum in an organization is through discussion. While there are a number of different ways to push for innovation or adapt to the market environment, the facilitation of good interaction is crucial to the general prosperity of any organization. The interactivity between members of the organization and their successful communication and interaction are the key components to enacting change. By creating a cohesive team led by a transformational leader that works directly with their subordinates, an organization can make sure that it is led in the right direction (Leavitt, 2019). I think that through enacting ways of regularly exchanging feedback between the parts of the organization, a business can find the ability to move forward and prosper. In the case of my particular project, the use of meetings and discussions will be the key to such initiatives.
