Keeping the employees motivated is a crucial task for any organization. Motivation benefits employees themselves and the organization as a whole, which consequently attains sustainability and success. Employee motivation is the energy or effort the employee willingly uses to achieve their needs and organizational goals. There are several ways to boost it, for example, by use of incentives, including employees in leadership and fair remuneration. The organization can also offer proper career training and advancement and show employees a sense of understanding. To enhance motivation, I suggest the company’s Human Resource Management be empowered to ensure proper training of the employees, equipping them with career advancement workshops. I also propose that it ensures the company management guarantees employees fair remuneration and a proper working environment that considers employee needs. Generally, the attainment of the objectives mentioned above caters to employee needs and organizational goals and, as a result, guarantees adequate employee retention and organizational prosperity.

I propose that the training function of the company be made more vibrant for it motivates the team of company employees. Training entails individuals’ mental, ethical, physical, and social development while adding to their skills and knowledge to improve their effectiveness. The motivation of a company’s human resources leads to its growth, enhancing the organizational structure. Workers do not always work for economic gain; they also have other social and psychological needs. Ideally, they need to work voluntarily to be effective and more productive (Ozkeser, 2019). Human resource management should also facilitate the employees to attend career advancement workshops to gain more insight into their careers. In addition, the company management should employ the use of performance appraisals to monitor employee progress. The employees will feel appreciated, and thus, they will work more efficiently and wholeheartedly. Essentially, the career talks and training will fulfill their psychological interests, therefore, motivating them to work more towards achieving organizational goals.

I also suggest that the human resource management liaises with the company management to ensure employees get fair remuneration for their work. Proper wage management caters to each individual employee’s needs and the organizational mission.

Wage management is an important human resource management function that meets the objectives of the company as well as the expectations of the personnel and provides a balance between them. The main purpose of wage management is to ensure that the wage paid to the employer is adequate and fair. (Ozkeser, 2019, p.806).

It manages the intrinsic satisfaction of employees, achieving just payment for their work. Moreover, proper remuneration makes employees feel rewarded and their efforts appreciated by the company they serve. Indeed, fair remuneration will serve the interests of employees by rewarding their effort or motivating them, and the organization will benefit by having an increased level of productivity.

I propose that the company management offer a conducive environment for employees to do their operations. Employees have various needs at the workplace, for example, safety, protection, freedom of association, and minimal interference from the management. It should consider employees’ needs and demands in all its policies and actions. According to De Sousa Sabbagha et al. (2018), employee retention depends on job satisfaction and employee motivation. Retention ensures an organization’s competitiveness; therefore, if the company management considers the employees’ needs, the company will thrive.

The concept of employee motivation has been a controversy in human resource management. It is the voluntary effort of energy an employee uses to attain individual and organizational goals. A motivated workforce also benefits the organization; it increases its productivity hence making it more successful. To increase the motivation of employees in the company, I proposed four suggestions. I suggested fair remuneration, a favorable working environment, proper training, and career advancement. I believe the implementation of the four aspects of employee motivation will benefit the organization.
