The profession of arms is one of the most important and severe, which is determined by the responsibility that employees of this field bear. Moreover, in this area, a unique role is played by the human resource sergeant, whose duties are also critically important. Thus, this scientific paper aims to study these two crucial professions based on an article called “An army white paper “The Profession of Arms,” which provides valuable information for the study.

Therefore, first of all, it is necessary to study what the profession of arms is. Further, this is “a vocation composed of experts certified in the ethical application of land combat power, serving under civilian authority, committed to defending the Constitution and the rights and interests of the American people. (U.S. Army, 2019, p. 4). Based on this definition, it can be argued that the employees in this field are respected, and society treats them with a high level of trust.

Employees belong to one of the most challenging professions. Hence, this is determined by the fact that they are faced daily with the fact that they need to protect the citizens of the United States of America. It is worth noting that the article “An army white paper “The Profession of Arms” mentions that it is people who define the extent to which military activity is a profession (U.S. Army, 2019). Moreover, the authors emphasize that their judgments are based on how morally and ethically correct the military is doing its job and what level of trust is built between them and American society.

The human resource sergeant plays a unique role in the profession of arms. This is because these specialists help in managing one of the most critical aspects, that is, people (Snell & Morris, 2018). The article under study shows that this profession is a balancing tool that helps regulate the activities of the profession’s HR Leaders (U.S. Army, 2019). In addition, as in any other organization, the duties of the Human Resources Sergeant include the control of operating environments. In other words, this employee ensures the constant availability of sufficient resources and does everything to organize the work of the staff as best as possible.

Moreover, the duties of the Sergeant of Human Resources include constant monitoring and assistance in solving problems related to the well-being, emotional and psychological state of the military. In addition to preserving the environment, the duties of this military employee include ensuring the correct distribution of tasks among other military personnel (U.S. Army, 2019). In addition, the human resource sergeant is engaged in providing soldiers with the necessary information and advice depending on their authority and level of expertise.

Therefore, this academic paper investigated what the profession of arms is and what role the human resource sergeant plays in this area. Henceforth, based on a source called “An army white paper “The Profession of Arms,” the work of the military is exceptionally responsible and highly appreciated by the public. Exposing themselves to danger, workers in this field protect the Constitution and the rights of citizens of the United States of America. Remarkable assistance in this process is provided by the human resource sergeant. Thus, these specialists’ direct effort is to comply with moral norms and ensure a balance between culture and climate.
