Sustainable evolution is growth that attains the requirements of the current without hazarding the ability of tomorrow’s generations to fit their needs.

The idea of sustainable growth has three key pillars.

They include:

  • Environmental protection.
  • Social inclusion.
  • Economic growth.

Companies with attained sustainability

  1. Unilever, consumer goods company that has committed to sustainable living.
  2. The company has well set a goals.

Unilever has implemented several sustainable business practices like:

  • Sustainably sourced raw materials.
  • Reducing its carbon footprint.
  • Reinvesting in renewable energy.
  • Another company that has implemented sustainability is Patagonia.
  • Patagonia, an outdoor clothing company has committed to environmental sustainability.
  • It has implemented sustainable business practices.

Including:

  1. Using recycled materials
  2. Investing in renewable energy, and
  3. Reducing its carbon footprint
  4. Tesla has also implemented sustainability.
  5. Tesla is an electric vehicle company.

It has implemented sustainable business practices like:

  • Renewable energy.
  • Investing in sustainable transportation.
  • Reducing its carbon footprint (Alonso-Gonzalez et al., 2019).

  3. It has been criticized for its unsustainable business practices.

Recommendations

  • To improve on sustainability development I recommend that:
  • Nestle invest in renewable energy.
  • This will reduce the company’s carbon footprint.
  • Improve its environmental sustainability.
  • Also investing in renewable energy will help to save money on energy costs (Alonso-Gonzalez et al., 2019).
  • Secondly Nestle should reduce its use of plastic.
  • To reduce the company’s environmental impact, and improve its sustainability.
  • Additionally, reducing its use of plastic will help Nestle to save money on materials costs
  • Nestle should reduce its use of child labor.
  • To improve the company’s social impact and improve its sustainability.

  • Nestle should invest in sustainable agriculture to reduce the company’s impact on the environment.

I believe that Nestle needs to implement more sustainable business practices in order to:
