Each organization strives to achieve the best results and maximize productivity in the workplace. Some of the theories that contribute to the improvement of the overall performance are transcendental leadership and total quality management. Since employees are the main resource that drives the progress of any company Human Resource department plays a crucial role in ensuring that everything is organized and structured. Thus, the paper aims to identify how transcendental leadership and total quality management help to create strategies for reorganizing the human resource function.

Transcendental leadership is a wholesome method of managing the organization which covers all the important aspects. Such a leader focuses not only on one particular goal but aims to increase the level of development of self, employees, and the company (citation). This type of leadership implies care about the growth of the organization as a whole, perceiving it as a whole unit that needs attention in all the parts (Bush, 2020). The transcendental approach is beneficial for many reasons and has opportunities to significantly help in reorganizing the human resource function. Since the leader is genuinely interested in the flourishing of the people who are an integral part of the company, they encourage the employees to express their thoughts and ideas (Stebbins, 2017). In the atmosphere of transparency and openness, people feel comfortable speaking about the problems, and disadvantages and suggesting solutions to the issues. For example, if employees complain about the dissatisfying working conditions, the leader will make sure that the human resource department will investigate the situation and satisfy people’s needs which will result in higher motivation and productivity.

Moreover, under transcendental leadership, there is a clear understanding of the working processes and the desired outcomes. When managers put efforts into learning about the aspects and details of work in different departments it allows them to adjust the current situation to the employees’ requirements (citation). Having all the information human resource management can regulate the workload, for instance, and redistribute the working hours so that workers would not be stressed and anxious. In addition, transcendental leadership is helpful and building and maintaining a strong and healthy corporate culture (Nazario, 2021). There is a set of specific values and rules that serve as guidance for every stakeholder in the organization. Therefore, when appears a need for change or some conflict happens, the human resource department always knows how to reorganize the order while maintaining the corporate values and moving in the right direction.

Total quality management in some way similar to transcendental leadership and sticks to the same principles. The main goal is to ensure that all the processes align with each other and work harmoniously with each other (Total Quality Management in Human Resources, 2019). A great example is a delay in the payroll process that was caused due to the complicated and unclear data calculation in the head office. Although, it may seem obvious to solve the problem the human resource management has to analyze and check all the departments to detect the root of the problem and eliminate mistakes in other steps. Otherwise, if one field performs poorly or has some errors the whole chain will be disorganized and inefficient.

Moreover, total quality management aims to guarantee great performance in the long run and establish a solid foundation for further work. Since the goal of human resource management is to motivate and develop the employees, they have certain methods on how to achieve that (Ulle & Kumar, 2020). The department besides hiring staff also evaluates the process of work, and overall satisfaction and engages in the discussion about the issues and improvement of the situation (Stevenson, 2018). It can be portrayed on the example of public education, where all the parties from the government to parents are involved in tin creation of education programs (Rebore, 2011). Moreover, technologies and the free education system are an integral part of it and without them, studies would not be accessible and effective to the population. Thus, through the complex evaluation of the organization’s structure, the human resource department has an opportunity to improve its position using the total quality management theory.

Overall, maintaining the company’s prosperity and flourishing is a tough and demanding job that requires the consideration of numerous aspects. Transcendental leadership allows building a solid foundation for the further reorganization of the structural processes within the organization. When the leader considers not only the self-development but also the employees and companies it opens a broader perspective on the issues that need to be solved and increases the effectiveness. In addition, it creates a healthy atmosphere where workers can openly share their opinions and thoughts which is useful feedback to use for the enhancement of performance. Human resources in that case gain the possibility to collect the information directly from the stakeholders and change and adapt the processes for the greater good of the organization.

Total quality management is also crucial for the general beneficial work of the organization and includes the evaluation of all the working moments. The concept implies the fact that all the fields should work aligning with each other otherwise the error in one department causes problems in another. Besides, focusing only on recruiting and maintaining the employees, human resources management has to learn more details and do more profound research about the processes in the workplace. Thus, both theories help to reorganize the function of the department by broadening its scope on the organizational issues and considering additional aspects of the work that influence the overall performance.
