According to various studies, nanotechnology is now being used in multiple industries, including the food industry, cosmetics, medical applications, home appliances, and the textile industry. Adidas and other well-known fashion industries are employing nanotechnology to improve the quality of their products. For example, Adidas adopted nanotechnology to manufacture shoes to make them liquid repellant (Lionetto & Espinoza-González, 2022). The use of nanoparticles in shoes increases performance since it improves texture and functionality under certain conditions.
