The article The determinants of organizational change management success: Literature review and case study by Errida and Lofti (2021) identify several factors that affect the change management process. Further, the article examines the relevance of these factors in the case of a Moroccan construction company. By conducting an in-depth review of 37 organizational change management models, Errida and Lofti (2021) identify factors influencing successful change management. Moreover, the authors employ a research action method that validates the identified factors. Various factors influencing successful change management are identified and categorized into 12 groups relevant to successful organizational change initiative implementation in the case organization. The established factors essential in successful change management constitute change manager leadership, constant and effective communication, employee motivation, stakeholders’ engagement, and change agents. The study’s outcome reveals that managers can focus their resources and efforts on the necessary issues essential to ensure organizational change management success.

Moreover, the outcomes show that managers can increase organizational change initiative success and utilize these results to develop better strategies to enhance change management maturity in their firms. Errida and Lofti (2021) acknowledge that a case study is critical in addressing managerial challenges regardless of potential disadvantages associated with generalization issues. Thus, the authors advise future studies to combine large-scale and case studies by broadening the research approach utilized in their investigation. In parting remarks, the researchers show that through the outcomes of their study, a foundation for developing a new change management maturity model and change management measurement model can be achieved. The article’s three key points are shared and clear vision and change strategy, change readiness and capacity, and change team performance.
