PESTEL Factors in Relation to the Industry

Based on the student’s opinion, knowledge, and understanding of the industry, environmental factors are one of the most characteristic, essential, and significant concerning manufacturing. In this case, it is necessary to remember that manufacturing and nature have deep, inextricable connections, forming an ecological system of “man—nature.” Moreover, environmental issues are highly relevant for an individual enterprise and an entire industrial complex of the country and the Earth. For instance, a growing shortage of raw materials, atmospheric pollution with carbon dioxide, or climate change affects how a company will create and supply its products (De Bruin, 2016). Hence, as practice shows, various failures, errors, and shortcomings in production result from local weather, humidity, or the degree of air purity.

One Advantage and Disadvantage of the PESTEL Analysis

In general, PESTEL analysis, from the point of view of its further use for strategic planning, has the advantage of visibility, ease of development, and application. Accordingly, this aspect allows an organization to identify business opportunities and use them fully. On the contrary, PESTEL analysis has one of the significant drawbacks — the complexity and high cost of access to high-quality external data sources, hindering the effectiveness of the process.

Using the Technological Factor of Innovation

A student in the role of a manager in a global organization would be able to use the technological innovation factor of Azure to restructure internal operations and provide access necessary to perform a business function. Thus, for instance, this innovation is user-oriented and greatly simplifies the application of access with minimal privileges to resources, and also helps to have reliable control over permissions (Zatlavi, 2021). Consequently, Azure gives a unique competitive advantage when interacting with customers.
