All of these values and resolutions are addressed in organizational management through strategic planning. Strategic planning’s primary goal is to connect a company’s mission with its vision. The strategic plan exists in a vacuum without the goal and vision, as the mission is the beginning point for planning, the vision is the destination, and the strategic plan is the roadmap that guides you from one to the other. Values are also crucial in the strategic planning process because they provide the business with a benchmark for generating suitable strategies and tactics; any strategy or technique that contradicts the company’s values should be reviewed. By the key criteria of drafting and representativeness of the company’s overall goals, the mission statement of the firm in question can be ranked relatively high.
The values, as summarized above, are in accordance with Christian values of compassion and selflessness. Despite many legal and socioeconomic remedies such as universal healthcare models, insurance models, and other commercial models, lack of access to adequate health care remains a frequent problem in the United States (Okereke et al., 2020). Returning to a conventional system based on Christian concepts of human dignity, solidarity, subsidiarity, and the common good would be the most effective way to improve U.S. health care. Post-acute care can be seen as particularly fitting the Christian values since it involves looking after the vulnerable for extended periods of time (Okereke et al., 2020). Structurally it consists of multiple and consistent smaller gestures rather than a singular grand procedure.
Resource management in the established field falls under the umbrella of healthcare economics. The massive healthcare infrastructure in the United States must run at top performance in order to provide lifesaving care to millions of Americans. More than twice that number of critical care beds has been needed in the previous several years to help maintain a sustainable, optimum health care infrastructure during a crisis. The establishment of healthcare economic policies can help to address these issues and improve healthcare results. Health care economics is a method that uses the availability of resources to influence decisions in order to increase efficiency and value in a facility’s care delivery system (Oueida et al., 2018). Decisions on materials, personnel, space, and funds are not always apparent in a crisis, especially at facilities with limited lifesaving resources. Decision-making can be aided by health resource management.
Diversicare’s strategic objectives would involve optimizing its current operations to ensure maximum efficiency in every stage of the service chain. As established previously, healthcare services are a significant pressure area for the U.S. Most of them are underfunded and inaccessible to the majority of the public that does not possess the funds to address even the most pressing medical concerns. As such, post-acute healthcare might be deemed unnecessary or redundant when potential clients need to choose. This issue can be tackled by re-organizing the existing operational processes and familiarizing the customers, provided they agree, with the inner workings of the firm. Finally, additional investments and changes to promotional campaigns might be needed to achieve the Word of Mouth effect. Finally, strategies might differ somewhat on corporate and business levels, but the overall commitment to the mission statement of Diversicare remains as strong as ever.
