Introduction

Company management is a critical aspect that helps an organization achieve the greatest efficiency and productivity. Thus, the establishment of staff work contributes to the improvement of key indicators and establishes relationships not only within the team but also between employees, managers and managers of the company. Therefore, this work sets the task of drawing up a management plan for the headquarters of employees using the application of five management functions. It should help to properly organize the work of the team and monitor it.

Planning

To build a well-established and organized process in the warehouse, it is necessary to form an effective team culture. This aspect implies the creation of an environment that will satisfy the needs and desires of employees while not harming either them or the managers of the company (Rieger & Klarmann, 2022). This is because people are the most important resource for the company. Retention and involvement of employees in the work process is important for increasing the productivity and competitiveness of the company. To do this, it is necessary to develop a specialized plan that will help achieve the objectives of the organization’s work.

Thus, the planning process includes building a team culture. First, it is important to gain an understanding of what this phenomenon is. Sources define team culture as a set of values, beliefs, and behaviors that characterize people in a community. It follows from this definition that managers should form and present to employees the main important aspects and goals of their activities. Moreover, team-building measures and team-building pieces of training can be taken to build a positive team culture. This kind of process will help to significantly improve the relationships within the team and help develop the decision-making process.

Organizing

The next no less valuable stage for further consideration in the framework of this work is the organization of the workplace. This paper will focus on how this aspect is implemented in the globally famous Amazon Company. Research determines that Amazon has a “predominantly hierarchical organization incorporating function-based groups and geographic divisions” (Cuofano, 2022, para. 15). Thus, the first aspect concerning the hierarchy of the organization determines the difference in relations between different kinds of employees of the organization, depending on the power they have.

I believe that despite the success of the company, it is important to consider the opinion of employees. With the hierarchical construction of a model of behavior in the workplace, there is a strong separation between employees, managers and the heads of the company. Therefore, it is worth noting that as an assumption of what changes can be applied, a more democratic way of managing personnel and people around can be mentioned. Managers need to conduct analytical and monitoring work to determine the level of necessary changes in the company.

Departmentalization in organizational structure can provide special assistance in forming the company’s organizational side. Hence, this procedure implies the division of the total number of personnel into departments, each of which will perform its own unique functions. This action will help to form an effective production process and, moreover, will contribute to strengthening the team and improving the outcomes of production procedures. Moreover, departmentalization significantly improves the quality of staff work.

Staffing

Staffing is an important function of management as it directly concerns the human resource of the company. Henceforth, it helps to consider all the necessary aspects for the formation of a workplace and a positive environment. Before starting to determine the needs of employees, it is necessary to determine whether there is a need to hire new team members. To do this, managers need to analyze the existing recruitment, its strengths and weaknesses, and decide whether to retain or dismiss an employee. When making this decision, it is worth remembering that leaving the organization’s employees can mean significant financial and time resources for managers. This is due to the fact that the process of hiring new employees is quite lengthy and requires money to fill in the missing employee. Therefore, only after analyzing the personnel managers can proceed to the definition of staffing needs.

The process of staffing an organization should take place in several stages. First, it is necessary to submit an advertisement for employment on various online sources or through specialized channels. This will attract the largest number of future warehouse workers. The second step is the selection of candidates in accordance with the criteria defined by the company. The third stage is an in-person interview, during which managers determine the qualifications of a potential employee. After that, the managers decide on hiring an employee and further training to work according to the proposed situation. This approach will help treat the problem of leaving a team member of their organization. Due to the hierarchical system of the organization, Amazon can effectively cope with the replacement of personnel due to dismissal or promotion.

In this process, the involvement of the Human Resource Department can be especially valuable. I can suggest that the use of processes related to this aspect is critical for any organization. Thus, during the selection or dismissal, a specialist must be hired who will help smooth out the experiences associated with the process of dismissal of employees. The Department of Human Resources should also be considered, as it can provide up-to-date and up-to-date data on the employment of people in the field.

Leading

The choice of approach to leadership directly affects the results an organization and its staff show. The participatory leadership theory was chosen for this plan. This approach may be particularly effective, as it implies participation in the life of employees to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the workflow. Moreover, this theory provides an opportunity to significantly increase the level of communication among all stakeholders.

Part of the future leadership strategy will focus on meeting the needs of employees and customers. For this purpose, approaches developed together with the Human Resources Management Department will be formed. The most important aspect is building customer trust and loyalty, which will ensure the correct and stable growth and development of the company. In addition, leadership will focus on innovation, which will make it possible to be more open to changes and provide an opportunity to adapt to external changes. Another component of leadership is curiosity, which will motivate the study of new information. This factor will help the company learn new things, not only about ways to improve the quality of service, but also about the state of the market.

Further, the use of transformational leadership can provide the greatest efficiency for further work. This is because this type of approach to work and personnel management focuses on what heights an organization can achieve (Puni et al., 2020). Building a clear picture of the future and setting priorities and values for the company will help motivate employees to perform their activities more efficiently and efficiently. Transformational leadership pays great attention to team building, motivation and collaboration with employees. This is the strength of this approach, which allows you to build employee engagement and, at the same time, will assist in meeting all the needs of both staff and customers. Thus, a leadership strategy for work will push hired people to achieve the highest performance while providing an opportunity for career and personal growth.

Controls

In the end, to ensure the smoothest flow of activity, it is necessary to implement control measures. Assistance in this aspect can be provided by four stages of control, which were allocated to simplify the task of the leader. Thus, the first stage is characterized by establishing standards according to which the activities of employees will be regulated (Baack et al., 2014). This may be the establishment of a daily or weekly minimum of work performed or hours worked. The second step deals with measuring performance, that is, determining what and how the staff can do in a certain period of time. Then there is a comparison, contrast and analysis of the expected and actual results, which are considered within the framework of the standards derived earlier. The last control procedure for the organization becomes taking corrective action as needed. After identifying the weaknesses of the company, managers should identify the causes of the shortcomings and adjust the work plan and strategy to limit the issues that have arisen and their consequences.

Conclusion

Thus, this paper is a plan for a manager who will manage a large staff of employees. Five management functions were used to compile this paper, which helped to correctly structure and form a sequence of necessary measures and actions. Hence, in the course of the work, such steps as determining the needs of employees, the process of hiring and firing, exercising control in the company, leadership style and organizational aspects were identified. Therefore, the manager will have the opportunity to clearly define the strategy for the company that will help achieve the greatest success.
